Edward Arthur was born on December 21st, 1898. Edward Arthur served in the 131 Regiment in WWI. He arrived in Halifax four hours after the ship exploded in the harbour on December 7, 1917. E.A. Richardson was a guard on the troop train. He went on to continue his service during the remainder of the First World War. Many other Richardson\/Irvine family members served during Canada’s other conflicts as well and their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
