Built 1914c. the house has survived decades of development in the area. Harris Road is named for the Harris family who arrived in Pitt Meadows in 1877 and bought most of the land in the corridor. Frank’s parents, Wellington Jeffers and Mary Jane, had a house just to the north of the tracks on the east side of the road where a condominium complex now occupies the site. After Frank’s death a Japanese Canadian family owned the home but lost it to expropriation during the 1942 internments.
