The first image is of Mr. (Robert) Mitchell and his bride (Charlotte) Mitchell on their wedding day. According to William Mitchell (their son) and Isabel Karula (their daughter),the Mitchells were married in 1904. They moved to Pitt Meadows from Hammond in 1916, and resided on Ford Road. They moved to Vancouver in 1920 and then returned to Pitt Meadows in 1922, and purchased a farm on what is now Mitchell Road. Charlotte was active in the Church and played the organ. She was also a member of the King’s Daughters and the Pitt Meadows Women’s Institute. The Mitchells had six children – William (Bill),Fred, Jean, Isabel, Harold, (who died in infancy) and Norville (who died in 1926). Robert Mitchell was a School Board Trustee for several yeas, and was involved with the Farmer’s Institute.<\/p>\r\n
