The first image is of Sherman Herbert Ford as an older man. The second image is of Harold Albert Sutton during his time as Reeve (1948-1965). Unfortunately, we do not have a photograph of Charles Cook. Charles Augusta Cook served as Reeve in 1931. He is a member of the Cook family and served in the first world war. Sherman Herbert Ford served as Reeve from 1932 to 1933. Ford served his community as evident by his travels to Victoria during the Depression to seek tax relief for the farmers and homeowners in Pitt Meadows. He also procured a school bus for the district. As a prominent Seventh-day Adventist, he helped build the church at the corner of Harris Road and Ford and built with his church group the log house and academy on advent road. Harold Albert Sutton served as Reeve from 1948 to 1965. He was a partner in H.A. and L.M. Sutton Construction. He served as secretary of the Farmers Institute from 1928-1930, and served as their president. In 1933 he was elected as councillor, and served for 14 years. In total Sutton served the community in a political capacity for 32 years! He was presented with a eulogistic plaque on his retirement.
