FAQ
What can I expect? This event is our Annual Halloween event. We decorate the Museum with Halloween decor and put up our scavenger hunt items that might be a little scary. Nothing jumps out to scare you, everything is stationary and on display. There is a scavenger hunt (two hunts if you attend on October 29th), a craft table, and several photo stations. It is a family-friendly event.
Do I have to come at a specific time? The big event runs on October 29th from 12 - 6 p.m. It is a drop-in event, however, we do have a limited amount of pumpkins that are being donated by Haunted History BC, so if you have your heart set on getting a pumpkin (after completing the 13 Ghosts Scavenger Hunt) be sure to arrive early!
Does it cost anything to attend? This event is run through your donations at the door.
What is the difference between October 29th and the other dates? October 29th is our big night. We have our special guests attending, Haunted History BC's Gina and Victoria, and they will be bringing along their 13 Ghosts Scavenger Hunt. They are only coming on the 29th. That night the Museum will also be open later (12 - 6 p.m.). It gets darker and feels a little creepier, we dim the lights, and the staff dress up.
What is the parking situation? We have parking at the back of the General Store Building that can be accessed through the West Coast Express Station parking lot. If that lot fills up, we have parking across the street at the Hoffmann Site (If you park there, you will have to cross the street to the general store site). Parking at both of our sites is available for free to our visitors.
What is the best time to arrive? Earlier is always better to guarantee that you will get a pumpkin from the Haunted History BC's 13 Ghosts Scavenger Hunt. We will be giving out candy to all those who complete the regular hunt all evening long though!
Wait! I still have questions! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to answer.
Happy Halloween!
