Museum After Dark 2024
The dolls have broken out of their boxes and are ready to play with you. They’ve brought all the frights and fun with them and we’re ready to invite you back into our Haunted Museum.
Museum After Dark (M.A.D.) is a frightfully fun drop-in program for the whole family. Every year we open our cabinet of curiosities and invite you inside to come and see. We run our M.A.D. Scavenger Hunt where you can attempt to find all the weird and wild things on our list like the Pitt Meadows Merman, Tongues on Sticks, and our Free-Range Organic Eyeballs.
The big event happens on October 26th from 1-6 p.m. This is the day we stay open a bit later, dim the lights, turn up the spooky music and dress up.

Our wonderful friends Haunted History BC are returning this year! One day only, October 26th! Get ready to be inspired by your inner Van Helsing, and get ready to become a monster hunter this year with their Monster Mash Scavenger Hunt! This special hunt will have you finding some of our favourite spooky friends like werewolves, mummies and more, and the best part is those that who complete this hunt can walk away with a pumpkin (while they last)!
The event continues on October 27th, 30th and 31st when the hunt resumes! You will complete the same crafts and the same Museum After Dark scavenger hunt. This date is perfect for those who want Halloween fun with the lights on, and these dates have a smaller attendance than our October 26th session.

FAQ
What can I expect? This event is our Annual Halloween event. We decorate the Museum with Halloween decor and put up our scavenger hunt items that might be a little scary. Nothing jumps out to scare you, everything is stationary and on display. There is a scavenger hunt, a craft table, and photo stations. It is a family-friendly event.
Do I have to come at a specific time? The big event runs on October 26th from 12 - 6 p.m. The other dates October 27th, 30th, and 31st run from 11:00 to 4:00. It is a drop-in event.
Does it cost anything to attend? This event is run through your donations at the door.
What is the difference between October 26th and the other dates? October 26th is our big night. That night the Museum will also be open later (12 - 6 p.m.). It gets darker and feels a little creepier, we dim the lights, and the staff dress up. This is also the only date that our friends from Haunted History BC will be attending, and the date they will be bringing their pumpkins to give to kids who complete their hunt. Everything else, crafts, the Museum After Dark Scavenger Hunt, decorations are all the same for the other dates.
What is the parking situation? We have parking at the back of the General Store Building that can be accessed through the West Coast Express Station parking lot. If that lot fills up, we have parking across the street at the Hoffmann Site (If you park there, you will have to cross the street to the general store site). Parking at both of our sites is available for free to our visitors.
What is the best time to arrive? This program is entirely drop-in, we do however encourage you to arrive at least half an hour before we close to ensure that you can do the hunt.
