Museum Sundays – every Sunday with a $2.00 donation
Every Sunday, we bring you a new holiday-themed kit for you to enjoy. These kits are available for a $2.00 donation and contain everything that you need to complete the craft, including supplies, tutorials, stickers, and a holiday-themed mini-book. These kits are designed for you to take them home and work on them there. Looking for something to entertain your kids while they’re on winter break, consider coming and grabbing a few kits to work on this season. We always have kits available in our main gallery for you to come and pick up. The best part is all the proceeds go right back into programming here at the Museum, so you’re supporting local!
December 1st – Gingerbread Houses (terracotta pot painting), December 8th – Snowman in a Jar, and December 15th – Sock Snowman.
CPKC Holiday Train – December 19th from 9:05-9:35 (Harris Road closes earlier!)
Every year we keep our doors open at the General Store Site to allow guests who are attending the train to enjoy a moment of warmth and history. We open just before the train pulls into Pitt Meadows for the evening and stay open until just after the train leaves for the night. It is a fun event, where the CPKC Holiday train pulls in with all its festive lights and fun, performed with music and laughter, and then pulls out of the station for the next destination!
Fun Fact: This is one of the few crossings where you can view the performance from either side of the crossing!
We put out a little craft table, and encourage anyone who wants to come in while they’re waiting to come and enjoy the Museum!
Victorian Christmas – Candle Rolling kits are available starting December 1st for a $10 fee.
Our annual classic is back this year. Every year we offer kits for those who want to be inspired by Christmas past. These kits offer a fun candle rolling craft, a Victorian-inspired craft, a craft book to inspire you in your holiday crafting, stickers, a candy cane, and other fun things. These are available during our open hours until we run out.
Christmas in Pitt Meadows – December 6th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Spirit Square and the Pitt Meadows Family Recreation Centre
Every year we join the festive fun hosted by the City of Pitt Meadows and this year is no different! We’re bringing our fun hands-on items, history and of course a holiday-themed craft! This year, we’re bringing gingerbread houses…well not edible ones, these popsicles stick gingerbread houses will have you working on your creative decorating skills and then you can put them on your tree at home for years to come.
Don’t forget your food bank donation!
Happy Holidays 2024.
