Christmas Break - we are open through Sunday the 22nd and then close through the 5th of January. If you need to get in touch, please email us at pittmeadowsmuseum@telus.net
We are decorated for Christmas and our seasonal scavenger hunt is up and running in the galleries.
We also have a small seasonal exhibit of Christmas Cards through the ages with many of the cards donated by Norma Scoobie.
We now have a small Museum store featuring magnets, mugs, a History of the District book, Sunday kids kits, and more. For December we have our Victorian Christmas kits now available at $10.00 including tax. They contain mini beeswax sheets to roll, other paper activities, and a treat. A great stocking stuffer for under the tree.
Our small volunteer corps that looks after the engines at the Hoffmann site is taking a well-deserved Christmas break, but in the New Year, they are starting to make plans for what to show at Pitt Meadows Day in early June. If you are interested in helping out, drop by on a Sunday afternoon when you see their cars at the site. Poke your head in the door and ask about their project.
Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the General Store Site and by appointment at the Hoffmann Site. Archives are by email and by appointment and Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m.
The Pitt Meadows Museum and Archives is funded, in part, with a grant in aid from the City of Pitt Meadows and other grant revenue from: Province of BC/Community Gaming Grant; Government of Canada/Youth Employment Strategy (CSJ). Other grants, donations, and program revenue from individuals, businesses and foundations/non-profits also assist with Museum operations.
