Museum After Dark

Want to commence the Halloween festivities in Pitt Meadows' spookiest old building? Join us for Museum After Dark (M.A.D.). It is a fearfully fun-filled drop-in program for the whole family and is open to all ages. Drop in during open hours for the week before Halloween to take the M.A.D. Scavenger Hunt, where you will be challenged to find such dreaded treasures as Polly Pink Eye and her best friend Creepy Carla, the Pitt Meadows Merman, as well as delicious delicacies such as the deep-charred rat, free-range organic eyeballs, and Tongues on Sticks. You can also take part in our spooky craft table, filled to the brim with haunted crafts!

We're extremely thankful to Haunted History BC's Gina and Victoria for their assistance with Museum After Dark! They donated a bunch of pumpkins to us, and volunteered their time to join us on October 26th! Thank you Haunted History BC! For more information about Haunted History BC check out their website here.

Admission is by donation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time should we attend? You can drop by any time during our open hours. However, we encourage you to arrive no later than half an hour before our closing time to ensure you have enough time to complete the hunt.

How much is it? This is a free event for anyone who wants to attend. Our little ghosties say that if you feel compelled to leave a donation we would be appreciative!

What can we expect? During Museum After Dark, the Museum is decorated to the brim with creepy and spooky decorations and hunt items. We have a scavenger hunt where participants must find all the items on the list and get a prize. We also have a craft table, sticker colouring, a witches' kitchen, and lots of photo opportunities!

Where can we park? We have two parking lots that you can use. Our first is at the back of the General Store Site (Where the event takes place) which is accessed through the West Coast Express Parking lot. Our second parking lot is across the street at the Hoffmann Shop, and then we ask guests to use the crosswalk to come across to the main site.

Is it appropriate for all ages? We try to make this event as family-friendly as possible. Nothing jumps out at you, and there isn't anything (we believe) too scary.

I have more questions! Please feel free to email us any questions that you may have and we will do our best to answer them.

Happy Halloween!
